3) en.push-hands.de uses „Shariff“
Social-Media-Buttons with data protection
With Shariff you can use social media without putting your privacy unnecessarily at risk. The c’t-project Shariff replaces the usual share buttons of the social networks and protects your surfing habits against curious looks. However, a single click on the button is enough to share information with others. You do not need to take any action – the webmaster already did that for you.
The usual social media buttons transmit the user data with every page view to Facebook resp. other networks and give these social networks exact information about their surfing habits (user tracking). To that end you do neither be logged in nor member of the network. In contrast to that the Shariff-Button enables the direct contact between social network and visitor only then, when the latter actively clicks on the share button.
Thereby, Shariff prevents your leaving a digital trace on every site you visit and improves data protection. Now you can like, +1 oder tweet as you think best – more information is not transmitted to the social network.
The notification of the „likes“ reaches the network via the operator of the site with the buttons (Betreiber der Seite mit den Knöpfen). Because Shariff is integrated by the webmaster, you as visitor do not need to take any action.
